El trabajo transcurre sobre la historia de la psicología social, distinta a las versiones que comúnmente de ella se han desprendido, esto porque intercede por unos interlocutores diferentes, y en ocasiones ajenos al campo disciplinar de la psicología social, pero que a partir de sus aportaciones teóricas han bosquejado aquella idea implícita que configura el trasfondo de la disciplina psicosocial: la idea de atmósfera. El trabajo se bosqueja a través de un recorrido que inicia con la exposición de lo que de la psicología social se ha desdeñado, su propio pasado, su propia historia no oficial; asimismo aboga por algunos autores relegados al interior del campo de conocimiento, e introduce a otros más quienes, desde sus reflexiones, veladamente hacen explícita la idea de atmósfera, es por ello que la presente reflexión puede concebirse como el rastreo histórico de aquella metáfora de la cual ha abrevado la disciplina, haciendo partícipes de ellotanto a historiadores y filósofos como a sociólogos y filólogos, recreando con esa idea evanescente la idea primigenia de la psicología social, idea que deviene en una psicología nostálgica, una psicología histórica, una psicología colectiva.

The work concerns the history of social psychology, and is different from the versions commonly set forth on the subject. This is the due to the fact that different interlocutors intercede, some of them from outside the discipline of social psychology. However, their theorethical contributions have provided an outline for the implicit idea that makes up the background of social psychology -the idea of atmosphere. This work is presented by means of a review which begins by setting forth what was been disdained by the field of social psychology -its own past, its own unofficial history. It also defends certain authors who have been ignored within this field of knowledge and introduces others who, due to their reflections on the subject, cautiously make explicit the idea of atmosphere. For these reasons, this work can be considered as historically tracing the methapor through which this discipline has been nurtured. We include in its content the work of historicians and philosophers, as well as sociologists and philologists, recreating with the evanescent idea the original of social psychology, and idea that results in a nostalgic psychology, an historical psychology and a collective psychology.
